Luke 2:1-20 In the Christmas story we read about something wonderful that had happened, and it's happening still. May Christ be born in the manger of your hearts this Christmas, and may you hear the angels singing good news of great joy.

James 5:7-11 Christ died and rose again so that you could take your eyes off the long lines and the slow shoppers, take your thoughts off your driving destination and the speed at which you get there, and instead look to and gaze upon Jesus, gaze upon the cross, where His mercy and compassion are given for you.

Isaiah 2:1-5 As individuals we might not be able to save the world. However, if we allow ourselves to be transformed in God's image we can make a difference right here in our own community--it will make a difference in how we face life and how we prepare the world for the coming of Christ.

Jeremiah 18:1-11 How is the Lord shaping your life? Are you yielding to His hands or are you being stubborn and resistant in His hands? He will reform us, reshape us, smash us and re-design us to conform to a pattern of Godliness. We might resist it or we might receive it. But as clay we cannot shape our lives.

Luke 17:11-19 In this time of Thanksgiving, our challenge is to count our blessings - large and small, significant and stupid - and to be grateful to the One who is the source of every good and gracious gift. We don't deserve a thing, whether it's green grass or mischievous kids or caring co-workers or healthy hearts, so our attitude toward each day should be absolutely thick with thanksgiving.

Mark 9:33-37, 10:13-16 Jesus said that the only way to enter the Kingdom of God is to have faith like a child. Today let us welcome the children, learn from the children, celebrate life as children, believe like children, and listen to children.

Luke 12:13-21 We must continue to ask ourselves if we are using the gifts that God has blessed us with in reaching out to others. Our gifts of talent, time, and finances.
