Summary

Recent stories concerning the Halls of Fame for baseball and football highlight the subjective, slippery nature of who is qualified to be inducted. Are the qualifications for an elder/pastor in the local church as subjective and slippery? Let us thank God that they are not. In summary, an elder is a man who desires to lead the church with the Word and is confirmed as qualified by the local church using 1 Timothy 3 (and Titus 1). Do we have any men among us who are qualified?
