Summary

Sowing the seed. A 100-fold blessing. Financial prosperity. These are phrases often associated with this passage from Prosperity Gospel preachers. Yet if we take the Bible as reliable and Jesus' interpretation as faithfully communicated, then this parable doesn't pertain to this at all. The seed is the 'Word of the Kingdom.' The soil is the hearts of men. And true believers persist in Gospel fruitfulness in obedience to Jesus Christ. What is the nature of your soil?
