Summary

The example of the apostle Peter in the book of Acts is encouraging and convicting, especially considering that he denied Jesus as He went to the Cross. But as we read of Peter's bold proclamation in Acts, we face a danger. We are tempted to dismiss his example as one for us since he was an apostle. Since he was a leader. Since he was a gifted evangelist. But the church's response to Peter's bold witness in Acts 4 exhorts all believers to be bold witnesses as well. The early church must pray that God will fill us with His Holy Spirit as well, unto faithful witness.
