Summary

Upon hearing the news of Israel's disgrace, Nehemiah not only wept and mourned. He also prayed. After remembering who God is and who he is, Nehemiah confessed the sins of his family and the nation of Israel. Nehemiah knew the confession and repentance were an essential part of God's restorative work. We also must confess and repent our sins to see God renew us as the people of Christ.
